Veolia Environnement's Commitment
Committed to Sustainable Development
"Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."
The Bruntland Commission's definition of sustainable development dates back to 1987. In plainer terms, we can ask the question: "How can the human race continue economic development without harming human health and the environment?"
At Veolia Environnement, sustainable development is a major influence on our business decisions and defines us as a company and the services we offer.
We aim to ensure that as many people as possible all over the world have access to the essential services that we can provide. To help us achieve this aim, we have set up the Institut Veolia Environnement (This will direct you to the VE Sustainable Development Website).
