Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies was awarded the contract for the design & build of the upgrade of Brampton Island Sewage Treatment Plant in the Whitsundays Islands, part of the Great Barrier Reef.
The new plant will use a Neosep® membrane bioreactor pack with Ultrafiltration to provide Queensland EPA (Environmental Protection Authority) class A quality treated water suitable for irrigation of the resort grounds and golf course.
