tomato water treatment

Capacity 1.3 ML/day

Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies Australia was awarded a contract in January 2007 for the design, supply, construction and commissioning of a Microfiltration/Reverse Osmosis Plant.

The plant will supply recycled water for the Timbercorp Two Wells Hydroponic Tomato Project.

The new water treatment plant will treat up to 1.3 ML/day of DAFF treated water, sourced from the Bolivar Water Reuse Project, north of Adelaide and will produce 1 ML/day of treated water suitable for irrigation of tomatoes.

Timbercorp are strongly committed to being a sustainable and environmentally sound business and wanted to use treated recycled water to ensure their new generation glasshouse operates in an environmentally-friendly manner
