Leading edge biological solution for wastewater treatment combining the advantages of activated sludge & fixed biofilm systems. The biofilm attached to a carrier achieves high BOD, organic & nitrogen pollutant removal.

The flexible and easy to operate MBBR process can be used as a standalone solution or combined with activated sludge. It can easily be installed in existing tanks or basins.

MBBR is a unique and proven technology with more than 500 installations worldwide across 50 countries.

Actiflo^® Clarification is a highly efficient water and wastewater clarification process, combining microsand enhanced flocculation and rapid settling. This technology has a very small footprint compared to conventional clarification processes. This high efficiency treatment is flexible, easy to operate and to maintain.

This clarification process is ideally suited for the treatment of: industrial process water, wastewater, stormwater, groundwater and surface.

Actiflo^® Turbo is the next generation of microsand ballasted clarifier incorporating the TurboMix™ to enhance the flocculation efficiency.

Tertiary treatment capable of producing effluent with both low turbidity and low total suspended solids. Discfilters are utilised in treatment plants primarily for effluent polishing and also industrial process water applications.

Hydrotech™ Discfilters have a small footprint, automatically backwashes and requires low maintenance.

To achieve higher clarification and filtration of suspended solids water, or phosphorous removal, the compact and efficient Actidisk™ process is recommended (Actiflo^® + Discfilter)

Membrane filtration range includes ultrafiltration, microfiltration (pressurised), microfiltration (submerged) and nanofiltration. Ultrafiltration can be used as a pre-treatment for Reverse Osmosis, or as a standalone process for producing high quality water.

Reverse Osmosis is a membrane process extensively used for removal of salt from seawater or brackish water and even dissolved contaminants from sewage.

This proven robust technology is easy to operate and has a small footprint.

VWS has compact and efficient reverse osmosis packaged and turnkey plants as well as offering customised engineered solutions to meet clients requirements.

Based on the Reverse Osmosis technology, Aquamove™ containerised mobile units are used for water demineralisation, desalination or purification. They represent an ideal water solution for industrial or municipal customers facing short-term or mid-term temporary purified water needs.
