Port Macquarie Hasting District Water Filtration Plants & Water Reclamation Plant, NSW
Capacity: total 9.3 ML/day (WFP - 8.3 ML/day, WRP - 1 ML/day)
Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies was responsible for the design, supply, install, test and commissioning of 4 water filtration plants using membrane filtration at:
- Comboyne (680 m3/day)
- Long Flat (350 m3/day)
- Telegraph Point (1.3 ML/day)
- Wauchope (6 ML/day, capacity to increase up to 18 ML/day)
The water filtration plants treat dam or river water to produce high quality drinking water with the backwash water used for agricultural and playing field's irrigation.
Veolia also designed and built a Water Reclamation Plant at Port Macquarie (1 ML/day, with an extension capacity up to 2 ML/day) using microfiltration and reverse osmosis. This plant treats municipal wastewater for reuse by the Council and local industry.
